Filter Designs
Filter Designs are an engineering business with a global client base, specialising in hot gas filtration and dust extraction across a wide range of industrial sectors. The MD’s brief to me was characteristically direct: “We want to start thinking about things in a marketing way.”
That single sentence was the starting point for a thorough brand audit that transformed how the business presented itself to the world.
I assessed everything Filter Designs had in place, from their logo and website to their sales materials and online presence. They already had solid foundations: a relatively new logo, a functioning website, and a professional promo video. However, the process revealed clear opportunities to sharpen their brand proposition and strengthen their communications, particularly around messaging, navigation, and user experience.
From there, I established their brand proposition — the clearest possible articulation of what Filter Designs does, who it’s for, and why it matters. This became the foundation for all the content and design work that followed. I made targeted improvements to the website, focusing on the areas that would have the greatest impact on how potential clients perceived and navigated the business online.
One of the most significant parts of the project was redesigning and reproducing Filter Designs’ entire range of engineering project case studies.
These documents are central to the company’s sales process — the materials that turn a prospect’s interest into a serious conversation. Elevating their quality and consistency made a meaningful difference to how credibly the business presented itself at that critical stage.
Beyond the website and case studies, I also developed Filter Designs’ social media presence, building a more active and professional profile that better reflected the quality of their work. Alongside this, I secured industry press coverage that raised the company’s profile in their specialist sector.
The result was a business that moved from thinking reactively about marketing to having a clear strategy, a stronger brand, and practical tools that genuinely supported their sales process.
